Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing knowledge and recommendations for industrial and other economic policies to support economic growth and the generation of decent jobs;
- Monitoring the broader macroeconomic and financial flows;
- Monitoring of economic policy, legislative activities and important events relevant to economic growth and development;
- Assist in development and implementation of specific research and development projects;
- Statistical and econometric monitoring and updating of statistical and other data in CEVES database, related to the specific field assignments;
- Testing the validity of the statistical data content as well as their economic analysis with the crossing of information obtained from statistical analysis with other publicly available information on economic activity and business enterprises;
- Preparing projections of total and sectoral economic activities, as well as improving the model for design.
Requirements/qualifications for position:
- Master’s degree in economics or relevant field;
- Minimum two years of experience in similar positions;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language;
- Strong organizational and analytical skills;
- Proactive and able to work well in team environment;
- Desire for further professional development and a strong work discipline;
- Strong motivation for scientific work;
- Experience in writing reports, working papers or other documents is preferable;
- Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) and ability to quickly learn and master new computer programs.
